Once you finish with step 17 another box pops up and you start again from step 16 until you have saved all of the Quick Steps. If you have a lot of Quick Steps and are just going to import all of them again you don't have to worry about naming them but if you only want to export specific Quick Parts then do it in individually.ġ1) Single Export: "Right Click" on the single message you want to export and then "Right Click" and click "Export Message" (NOT Messages with an s)ġ2) Multiple Export: Click on the 1st "Instance Key", hold down shift and click on the last "Instance Key" then "Right Click" and click "Export Message" (NOT Messages with an s)ġ3) Select "MSG File (UNICODE) from the dropdown list and click "OK"ġ4) Single Quick Step: After you click "OK", select a location and name it whatever you want then click "Ok".ġ5) If you are exporting multiple Quick Steps then select a location and click "OK" (there is no way to know which Quick Step is exporting first so there is no need to rename it). I have put together a guide for IMAP users (MAKE SURE ALL INSTANCES OF OUTLOOK ARE CLOSED BEFORE STARTING):ġ) Download the latest version of MFCMAPI (Download the 32 bit or 64 bit depending on your version of Outlook)ģ) Click on "Session" then "Login" and select your Outlook Profileĥ) Then select "Root" then "IPM_SUBTREE" then RIGHT CLICK on "Inbox" and select "Open associated contents table"Ħ) Sort the top box by "Subject" and that should put the "blank" subjects at the bottom (THESE are your Quick Steps!!!!)ħ) Click on the first "Instance Key" that has a blank subject and it should populate information in the bottom box.Ĩ) In the bottom box, look for the "Name" titled "PR_ROAMING_XMLSTREAM" and click on it (this highlights it to make it easier to see)ĩ) Expand the column labeled "Value (alternate view)" as far as you can until you see the word "Name=" in the row labeled "PR_ROAMING_XMLSTREAM" (you can shrink the other columns since they don't matter)ġ0) You can either export each individual Quick Step and name the file to whatever name you want OR you can export ALL of the Quick Steps at one time but it saves them as "UnknownSubject_0000000094A412D2F569F648.msg". The issue with the other guides was they were pointing to the WRONG directory if you used an IMAP account.

I finally got so tired of recreating my Quick Steps (about 30) I started playing around with MFCMAPI again.

The issue is, ALL the guides for using MFCMAPI don't work if you are using an IMAP account.

Have been SO many posts asking this same question "How do I Export Quick Steps Outlook 365 with IMAP Account using MFCMAPI" and NO one has been able to answer it.Īfter 5 years of trying to figure this answer out and getting SO frustrated when the only answers were pointing to this post or similar posts with the same instructions:
