New items have also been added to the game that functions as evolution catalysts or just something you can use. You also don’t need to trade Pokemon to evolve them, which is always a welcome idea. Pokemon evolutions can be quickly done in the game as level requirements have been reduced. It also means that there are added moves and several TMs have been altered and updated. This means that those that recently got secondary types or the Fairy-type will have it in the game.
All the Pokemon in Renegade Platinum have their types and stats updated until Generation VI. The Fairy-type is also included in the game.
The Pokemon roster is more extensive, and the lineup includes those until Generation VI. The only difference is that some characters and trainers have been altered, but the story remains the same. There aren’t any changes in how the story flows. The game pretty much has the same story as Pokemon Platinum.
